Two Days, Four Hikes
When you’ve got your hiking boots in tow, two days in Banff isn’t nearly enough time.
We did the best we could to see as much as possible – we cut a couple of hikes short and cheated with a big short-cut on one hike. But that allowed us to make it to four different spots, and we eagerly had our video camera rolling the whole time.
This is, without a doubt, the prettiest video footage we’ve gotten (as you know, we are suckers for lofty mountains and the dazzling lakes set within them). There is plenty of both in here…
Many thanks to Banff National Park tourism for their support of our journey. As always, all opinions and sore feet are our own.
Great fun to watch. I have never been there and it will remain on my wish list! Beautiful place!
Is that all filmed on the Go Pro or do you mix it up?
Cheers! Annie (currently in Cuenca, Ecuador)
Hey Annie – hope you do make it there! It was all GoPro except for the beginning and ending scenes with the boots, then we used the DSLR.
Cool! When did you guys find time to go out there?
We stole my Mom’s car and whipped out there for a couple of days the week before we left. 🙂
Very pretty video! The first viewpoint looks absolutely unreal!
Aww, great video guys! That chateau is gorgeous and the upper waterfalls were so pretty! I’d take the gondola too (Tim would have a different idea).
We would have done the hike up if we had more time, it is pretty easy with just lots of switchbacks. Next time!
Peyto Lake is one of my favourite sights in the world! We lived in Jasper for a year the drive from Jasper to Banff is so stunning. Great video
It is incredibly stunning! The color of the lake is so surreal.
Beautiful! It was super cloudy and foggy when I was there, so I need to go back and see it in it’s splendor
Thanks for the great video. We intend to visit Banff on our next big trip to the USA and Canada, and your video (which I pulled my husband in to watch) has assisted to keep us inspired.
I don’t remember the boardwalk at at the top of Sulfur mountain. I remember scrambling around with a toddler and being scared witless! I guess its been about 10 years since I was last up there. We take the gondola up and the path down, that way we feel a little like we hiked!
Great video!
Super vid kids!!
